FEC 111 with the Liquefied Natural Gas set for testing. The LNG set has been testing on the FEC since December. If all goes well they may be a feature on all through FEC trains.
FEC 111 is one of those trains you never know what you will get power wise. Only shootable on Sundays as they run earlier, today had a trio of retro blue GP40-2/3's.
Testing! The LNG set has been testing to New Smyrna Beach and back via 111 and 212 every other day. Today was no exception as the LNG set along with 3 other motors lead 111.
FEC 111 now shootable again due to the time change. A surprise was the EMD leader.
FEC train 111. Once was swapping with 212 that left out of Ft. Pierce but now turns at City Point. A restored service, trains 117 218 now cover that run.
FEC 111 wheels around the curves in St. Augustine. The leased out SD40-2's are slowly trickling back including recently arrived FEC 720, 2nd out.

FEC 111 usually has some extra motors on it, for drop off to the shops at New Smyrna Beach. This time was no exception with at least two GP40-2's for NSB.
811 on the 111. This is the first time I have caught this train without extra power on it. Usually motors bound for New Smyrna are ferried by 111 but not this time.
This time 111 had five locomotives!
While most of railfan nation was after the famous N&W 611, we were after not quite as well known, but yet still interesting FEC "111". FEC 111 always has an interesting assortment of power.
One of my favorite trains on the FEC you never know how many locomotives it will have.
The always impressive FEC 111 always has an interesting lash up of power, some of it bound for New Smyrna Beach. Now 111 goes to Ft. Peirce.
